Feng Zheng received his Ph.D. degree from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing, China in 1993. He held an Alexander-von-Humboldt Research Fellowship at University of Duisburg and was an Associate Professor in Chinese Academy of Sciences. During 2007-2011, he was with IKT, University of Hannover as the Leader of Research Group "Applied Signal Processing". Since 2011, he has been with DSV, University of Duisburg-Essen as the Leader of Research Group "Algorithm Design and Analysis".
He is a co-recipient of several awards, including the National Natural Science Award (3rd Award) in 1999 from the Chinese government, the Science and Technology Achievement Award (1st Award) in 1997 from the State Education Commission of China, and the SICE Best Paper Award in 1994 from the Society of Instrument and Control Engineering of Japan at the 33rd SICE Annual Conference, Tokyo, Japan.
His research interests include RFID, UWB-MIMO, wireless communications, signal processing, and systems and control theory.
